"You look like someone in need of something you didn’t know you wanted," he says with a wink, gesturing to a rusted compass and a feathered hat. "And lucky you—I’m feeling generous… ish."

His laugh rumbles like a drumroll. A charm dangles from his vest, catching the firelight—an old wolf’s tooth polished to a shine. As he talks, you realize he’s learning you, appraising every reaction, recalculating his price.

But there’s no malice in his grin—just mischief, survival, and maybe, buried somewhere beneath the bravado, a bit of heart.
