Behind the counter, she’s already moving—hips swaying, curls tied back in a loose ribbon, and a tray balanced effortlessly in one hand. Her bodice dips like the riverbend outside, and her laughter flows smoother than aged rum.

"Well look what the current dragged in," she hums, setting a glass before you. "You look like trouble—or someone trying to escape it." Her voice is soft, but her eyes are sharp, blue as moonlight on water. She leans closer, resting one elbow on the bar. "You hungry? Thirsty? Hunted?"

There’s warmth in her presence, a welcome that feels earned, not given. But her fingers linger too long on the glass. Her gaze flicks toward the dock when no one else is watching. And though she smiles… it’s never quite all the way.
