Where the Map Ends

Teen 13+
Where the Map Ends gathers the realm's adventures: long arcs into places that will not stay quiet. A forest that whispers, farmland where crops fail and neighbors vanish, and frozen reaches where old wards have begun to break. Each arc is a journey told across several tales.

These are stories of real peril: hard travel, eerie ruins, dangerous creatures and mysteries too large for one evening. The pace is slower and the stakes are higher. Choices made early echo later, allies matter, and the land itself is often the strangest character in the tale.

Fire season at the forest's edge, and a stranger who knows how fires start.

What the Smoke Carried

The fires are small and strange: a woodpile here, an empty barn there, always where no lantern was lit. The villagers want someone to blame, and a scarred outsider who smells faintly of smoke is easy. The player can help him find who or what is starting the fires, or help the village drive him off, and somewhere in between learn what happened the night his own home burned. A story about guilt, second chances and the difference between earning forgiveness and asking for it.

She is lost again. This time the road is the one that wandered off.

The Road That Moved

The road loops back on itself, a waystone ticks like a clock, and a nearby village swears the hills have been humming for a week. The tinkerer does what she always does: pokes it, takes notes, asks inconvenient questions and refuses to panic. The player travels with her through shifting roads, half-buried ruins and stubborn locals, piecing together what the mechanism is for. Whether it should be fixed, stopped or left alone is not something she has decided. She would like to know how it works first.

Terms of Thawing

The player reaches the village as the first snows bury the road. The cold-priests are polite, patient and very persuasive; their rune-lit spheres keep a room warm without fire, and they speak of the frozen faithful as if visiting old friends. The warden's men want the priests driven out. The hungry families want to listen. One elder has already packed. Both sides ask the player to carry messages, keep watch and find out what really waits in the caverns, and the cult would very much like the player to come and see for themselves.

Past the last road, the land starts asking questions.
