Holiday Plotlines
Holiday Plotlines gathers Ravenbreath's seasonal festivals in one place. Each is a short story of its own, open only for its festival days, with its own host:
Racket Night (Grimcrag Valley, the turn of the year) - Thayla Bloodhorn hunts new noise for a valley whose every bell has cracked.
The Knotting Fair (Three Rivers, late winter) - Aurora Soldori untangles ribbons that keep tying strangers together.
The Lucky Dregs (the Shadowed Thicket, early spring) - Pippa Dewdrop drank the whole year's luck, and every hiccup now pays out.
The Nesting Run (the Prideland, spring) - Zara Thorne judges the painted decoy eggs and finds one that is warm.
Wrongside Day (the Heartland, spring) - Tinka Talc's crown as Queen of Wrong is stolen, and backwards words start coming true.
The Night of Loud Skies (Smuggler's Cove, high summer) - Toby Talc runs the sky-powder, and one crate is not sky-powder.
The Sweetest Candy (Ashmoor, the edge of autumn) - Draven Seacrest has mislaid half the clue list for the masked candy run.
The Larder Watch (Rosewood Village, before the snow) - Lydia Ironheart guards the winter larder from a thief no lock can stop.
The Last Row (the Fertile Fields, late autumn) - Sebastian Grimaldi's prize row for the shared supper has grown very wrong.
The Drift War (the War Camp, the first deep snow) - Master-at-Arms Daelen Virell drills the recruits for a snow war against a fort nobody built.
What Frostmaw Owes (Frostmaw Village, the longest nights) - Thrynn Winterclaw carries the tokens nobody can deliver, and the last one bears his name.
The festivals are light, strange and a little dangerous, never cruel. They are about noise, luck, food, masks, gifts and the turning of the seasons, and every one ends with the place a bit kinder than it started.
